Anona Jewels ("Anona", "we", "us", "our") is a jewelry house based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, creating custom and bespoke pieces by private appointment alongside a small edit of ready-to-wear jewelry. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit anonajewels.ae, book a consultation, commission a piece, personalize a design, use our Piece Builder, place an order or speak with us by WhatsApp, email, phone or in person, and how we use and protect it. We handle your information in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and other applicable laws.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Custom design enquiries: your name, phone (WhatsApp) number, email, the type of piece you have in mind, metal preference, budget range, a description of your vision, and any reference or inspiration images you choose to upload.
- Appointments: your contact details, the reason for your visit, your preferred date and time, and any notes you share with us (for example that you are bringing a family stone, or have access needs).
- Orders and accounts: your name, billing and delivery address, phone number, email, order history and, if you create one, your customer account details.
- Personalization details: the choices you make when personalizing a piece, including any names, initials, dates, messages or symbols you ask us to engrave or incorporate.
- Commission details: information that helps us design and make your piece, such as ring size and other measurements, style and stone preferences, and details or photographs of any stones or heirloom jewelry you entrust to us.
- Piece Builder: the options you select (such as jewelry type, metal, setting style, diamond shape and colour), and the preview images generated for those choices.
- Communications: messages, voice notes, photos and files you send us by WhatsApp, email, phone or social media, and our notes from consultations.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, links clicked and how you arrived at our website.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, keep the website secure and understand how it is used. See "Cookies" below.
Payment information
Payments are processed by our e-commerce platform and payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and arrange and prepare for your consultation.
- To design, quote for, source stones for, make, personalize, engrave, fit and deliver your piece.
- To process orders, payments, deposits, exchanges and refunds.
- To generate Piece Builder previews of the combinations you select.
- To provide after-care, including cleaning, re-polishing, resizing, repairs and warranty service.
- To keep you updated on your commission or order, including by WhatsApp, phone or email.
- To send you news, new collections and invitations, only where you have agreed. You can opt out at any time.
- To keep our website, customers and business secure, and to prevent fraud.
- To improve our website, services and designs.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
3. Our legal basis for using your information
We use your personal information where you have given your consent, where it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract or to perform our contract with you (for example to make and deliver your piece), where we need to comply with the law, or as otherwise permitted under applicable UAE law. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time; this will not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
4. Your designs, stones and heirlooms
- Reference images and design details are used only to design and make your piece. We will not publish them.
- Engraving and personalization text (such as names, dates or messages) is used only to make your piece and kept with your order record for after-care and warranty purposes.
- Stones and heirloom pieces you entrust to us may be photographed, measured and described when we receive them, so that we can document their condition and keep a clear record for your protection.
- Showcasing our work: we may share photographs of finished commissions in our portfolio or on social media only with your permission, and never with your name or personal details unless you ask us to include them.
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business and serve you, with:
- Our e-commerce platform (Shopify), which hosts our store, checkout and customer accounts.
- Payment providers, which process your payments securely.
- Delivery and insurance partners, which deliver and insure your pieces.
- Website, email and data-hosting providers, which host our website, consultation and appointment forms, and the images you upload, and send our emails.
- Technology partners that power our Piece Builder and personalization tools, including AI image-generation services used to create preview images of the options you select.
- Messaging services such as WhatsApp, when you choose to contact us that way.
- Trusted craftspeople, setters, engravers and gemological laboratories involved in making or certifying your piece, who receive only the details they need.
- Professional advisers (such as accountants, auditors and lawyers), and authorities where the law requires us to.
We require our service providers to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers store or process information outside the United Arab Emirates. Where this happens, we take steps to make sure your information receives an appropriate level of protection, in line with UAE law.
7. How long we keep your information
- Orders, invoices and payment records are kept for as long as UAE commercial and tax laws require.
- Commission records (designs, specifications, stone details and engraving) are kept for as long as you own the piece and may need after-care or warranty service, unless you ask us to delete them.
- Enquiries that do not become a commission or order are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymized.
- Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.
8. How we protect your information
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access, including secure, encrypted connections on our website and limiting access to the people who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authority of a personal data breach where the law requires us to.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict or stop using your information, or object to how we use it;
- receive your information in a structured, commonly used format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, including to marketing; and
- raise a complaint with the UAE Data Office.

10. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the website to work (such as your cart and checkout), and, where permitted, cookies that help us understand how our website is used and improve it. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the website, such as the cart, from working.
11. Marketing
We only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails, replying "STOP" to our messages, or contacting us.
12. Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
