Terms of service
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of anonajewels.ae and to every purchase, personalization, consultation and bespoke commission with Anona Jewels ("Anona", "we", "us", "our"). Anona Jewels is operated by [Company legal name], trade licence no. [Trade licence number], [Registered address], Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Please read these Terms carefully. By using our website, placing an order, paying a deposit or confirming a commission, you agree to them. Nothing in these Terms affects the rights you have as a consumer under UAE law, including the UAE Consumer Protection Law.
1. What we offer
- Ready pieces: finished jewelry available to buy and wear now.
- Personalized pieces: designs made to order with your chosen options, such as metal, stones, size, or engraved names, initials, dates or messages.
- Bespoke commissions: one-of-a-kind pieces designed with you from a consultation, including engagement rings, bridal jewelry and the resetting of family stones and heirlooms.
- Piece Builder: an online tool that lets you explore combinations of styles, metals and stones and send us your design as a starting point.
2. Using our website
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order. You agree to give us accurate information and to keep your account details secure. You must not misuse our website, interfere with its operation, or copy its content for commercial purposes.
3. Our pieces
- Every piece is finished by hand, so small variations in weight, dimensions and finish are a natural part of fine jewelry and not a defect.
- Photographs and colours on screen are as accurate as we can make them, but may differ slightly from the piece itself depending on lighting and your display.
- Stated carat weights and measurements are approximate unless given on a certificate.
- Diamonds described as certified come with an independent grading report (such as GIA or IGI), which is supplied with your piece.
- Many pieces shown on our website were designed for a private client and are shown as examples of our work; they can be reproduced or reworked as a custom commission.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in UAE Dirhams (AED) and include VAT where applicable.
- Where a price is marked as confirmed at consultation, or as a "from" price, the final price depends on the metal, stones and size you choose, and will be confirmed in writing before we begin.
- Bespoke and personalized pieces are priced by written quote. Quotes are valid for 14 days, as precious metal and diamond prices change.
- Payment is taken securely through our checkout and payment providers, or by the other methods we agree with you in writing.
- If a price on our website is clearly wrong, we will contact you before accepting your order, and you may choose to continue at the correct price or cancel.
5. Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we confirm it by email or message. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a piece is no longer available or a pricing error has occurred; if so, we will refund any amount you have paid in full.
6. Personalized pieces
- Personalized pieces are made to order. Please check every detail of your order carefully before confirming, especially the spelling, dates, characters, font and size of any engraving. We make your piece exactly as confirmed.
- Estimated making times are shown at checkout or given to you when you order. They are estimates, and we will tell you promptly if there is a delay.
- Because they are made to your specification, personalized and engraved pieces cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty or not made as confirmed (see section 11).
7. Bespoke commissions
Consultation and design
- Your first consultation, in person or by call, is free and without obligation.
- We translate your ideas into sketches and/or renders, and refine them with you until you are happy, before any stone is set. Sketches and renders are a guide to the design; the finished piece is made by hand and may differ slightly in proportion and detail.
- Your approval of the final design and written quote confirms every aspect of your piece, including metal, stones, dimensions, size and any engraving.
Deposit and payment
- A deposit, stated in your quote, is payable once you approve the final design. It secures your stones and your place in our production schedule.
- The balance is due on completion, before the piece is handed over or dispatched.
Changes and timelines
- Most commissions are ready within 3–4 weeks of design approval, depending on complexity and stone sourcing. We will give you a firm timeline once your design is confirmed. Timelines are estimates and may change, for example if a stone must be sourced specially.
- Changes requested after design approval may affect the price and timeline, and may not always be possible once work has started. We will confirm any change and its cost with you before going ahead.
Cancellation
- You may cancel before approving the final design at no cost.
- After design approval, the deposit is non-refundable, as it covers the stones sourced and the work carried out for you. If you cancel once production is well advanced, we may also charge for any additional materials and work completed, less any amount already paid.
Your own stones and heirlooms
- You are welcome to bring your own stones or family pieces to be reset or reworked. We will examine and document them when we receive them and give you a written receipt.
- We take great care with every stone. However, some stones carry hidden inclusions, earlier damage or treatments that make them more fragile, and a small risk of damage during cleaning, setting or reworking cannot be ruled out. We will tell you if we see any particular risk before we begin. We are not responsible for damage caused by a stone's existing condition or natural characteristics, but we remain responsible for damage caused by our own negligence.
- We can arrange independent certification of your stones on request, at the laboratory's cost.
Collection
We will let you know when your piece is ready. If a finished piece is not collected or paid for within 90 days of our notice, we will contact you to agree next steps, and may charge a reasonable storage and insurance fee.
Designs
The design of your piece, its sketches and renders remain Anona's intellectual property. We will never reproduce personal elements unique to your commission, such as your engraving or your family stones.
8. Piece Builder and preview images
Piece Builder previews, including photos, "on hand" images and 360° videos, are generated with the help of artificial intelligence to give you an impression of a design. They are illustrative only and may differ from the finished piece in details, proportions, colour and stone appearance. A Piece Builder submission is a request, not an order; the final specification and price of your piece are confirmed in your written quote.
9. Appointments
Consultations and visits to our Dubai atelier are by private appointment. Please let us know as early as possible if you need to reschedule, so we can offer your time to another client.
10. Delivery
- Delivery within the UAE is complimentary, fully insured and may require a signature and identification on receipt. A white-glove concierge handover can be arranged on request.
- International delivery may be available on request; any shipping costs, customs duties and import taxes will be confirmed with you in advance and are payable by you.
- Delivery dates are estimates. Your piece is our responsibility until it is delivered to you or the person you nominate.
- Please check your parcel on delivery and tell us within 48 hours if anything is missing or damaged.
11. Exchanges, returns and faulty pieces
Ready pieces
- Ready pieces may be exchanged within 7 days of delivery, provided they are unworn, unaltered and returned in their original condition and packaging with all certificates and documentation.
- For hygiene reasons, pierced earrings can only be exchanged if the original seal is intact.
- Ready pieces that have been resized, engraved or otherwise altered at your request cannot be exchanged.
- To arrange an exchange, contact us first; we will arrange insured collection or a visit to our atelier.
Personalized and bespoke pieces
Personalized, engraved and bespoke pieces are made specifically for you and cannot be returned or exchanged, except where they are faulty or not made as confirmed.
Faulty pieces
If your piece has a manufacturing defect, or was not made as confirmed, please contact us as soon as possible. We will inspect it and repair, remake or replace it, or refund you, in line with your rights under UAE law. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method.
12. After-care and resizing
- Every Anona piece comes with a complimentary lifetime cleaning and re-polishing service at our atelier.
- Most rings can be resized. Where a piece's description includes complimentary resizing, this applies to the first resize; otherwise we will give you a quote. Some designs, such as full eternity bands, cannot be resized.
13. Lifetime craftsmanship warranty
- Pieces made by Anona are covered by our lifetime craftsmanship warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
- The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear (such as scratches, or thinning of metal and claws over time), accidental damage, loss or theft, stones lost through impact or damage, damage from chemicals or improper care, or work carried out by anyone other than Anona.
- We recommend having your piece checked by us every 12 months, especially rings set with stones.
- To make a claim, contact us with your proof of purchase. We may need to inspect the piece before confirming cover.
14. Intellectual property
All content on our website, including our designs, photographs, videos, text, logos and the Anona name, belongs to Anona or our licensors and may not be copied, reproduced or used without our written permission.
15. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, and our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for it. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
16. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. If this happens, we will tell you as soon as possible and take steps to minimize the delay.
17. Privacy
How we use your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute. Where these Terms are also provided in Arabic, the Arabic version will prevail if the two versions differ.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on our website when you place your order or approve your commission applies to that order or commission.
